How to connect the new DStv Zappa decoders for extra-view

One of the apparent lows of the new DStv HD decoder is the removal of the RF in for the extra view.

New DStv decoder extra view configuration-
The requirements

Two DStv zappa decoder. You will use one as the primary.

DStv Smart LNB(bought separately from DStv office) this cost between 10,000 to 13,000 Nigeria currency

Your dish, a regular LNBf, and other dish components like coaxial cable

New DStv decoder extra view configuration

Track DStv on 36e and get a high signal strenght.

Next, replace the regular LNB with the smart LNB.

Connect one cable to the uni-cable A and another to the uni-cable C. As shown above

*Connect the A to the primary decoder and connect the C to the secondary decoder.

Now enter the following settings for both decoders

PRIMARY DECODER SETTINGS

User band 1 Frequency…….. 1210
User band 2 Frequency…….. 1420
User band 1 index……….……. 0
User band 2 index……….……. 1

SECONDARY DECODER SETTINGS

User band 1 Frequency…….. 1680
User band 2 Frequency…….. 2040
User band 1 index……….……. 2
User band 2 index……….……. 3

Once you do this, you are good to go. Enjoy your extra view
